Good nutrition is especially important for active people, but too often we forget to take it with us when we hit the roads and trails. Like every good Scout, it’s important to be prepared. Having the energy you need at hand can ensure a safe and positive experience in the outdoors.

The Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trails enrich the Grand
Traverse area by providing an interconnected network of trails, bikeways and pedestrian ways. The TART board’s five year plan project includes complete developing of the Leelanau Trail, extending Leelanau Trail one mile north of Suttons Bay, extending TART Trail remaining 5.5 miles to Williamsburg, completing the west side 2.5 miles of the Boardman Lake Trail and extending the Three Mile Trail to Hammond Road. Below is a brief guide to the TART trails.
